കോഴിക്കോട് കക്കോടിയിലെ മാതൃബന്ധു എയുപി സ്കൂള് മുറ്റത്താണ് ആയിരം ചെണ്ടുമല്ലിപ്പൂക്കള് വിരിഞ്ഞത്. ജൂണ് അഞ്ചിന് പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനത്തിലാണ് ഓണത്തിന് ഒരു കുട്ട പൂ എന്ന പേരില് പദ്ധതിക്ക് തുടക്കമിട്ടത്. പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളോടും കൃഷിയോടും കുട്ടികള്ക്ക് താത്പര്യം ജനിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തോടെയാണ് അധ്യാപകര് ഈ പദ്ധതി ആരംഭിച്ചത്.
